Starting from January 4, 2023, the Canada Greener Homes Grant is now known as Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) and is being collaboratively delivered by Natural Resources Canada and Enbridge Gas throughout Ontario and Canada-Wide. The newly introduced rebate program provides up-to-date and considerably increased rebates for numerous home efficiency upgrades, such as space and water heating, weatherproofing, home insulation and more!
Homeowners who want to apply for the Canada Greener Homes Grant will now apply through the HER+ program and can potentially be considered for both initiatives. The collaborative delivery of this initiative through the Home Energy Efficiency Plus Program allows qualifying Ontario homeowners to reap the benefits of both programs while only needing to submit one application. Ontario homeowners who submitted their applications for the Canada Greener Homes Grant before January 4, 2023, are advised to continue managing their applications via the CGHG portal.
